The importance of SNMPTN

In this great occasion, allow me to present a speech entitled ”The importance of SNMPTN”

Ladies and gentlemen,

SNMPTN is an abbreaviation of Indonesian words, namely, Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri meaning national selection to register state university or college.  Talking about SNMPTN, have you heard that our government will eliminate this program?

I believe you have. O.k ladies and gentlemen, let me ask you “Do you agree if SNMPTN is eliminated?”

Please, don’t answer my question before hearing my speech here.

Ladies and gentlemen,

According to the ministry of education and culture, the elimination of SNMPTN will be really done after waiting the evaluation of national examination result for Senior high school students carried out this year. He said that national examination in this year would be seriously done, so,  the probability of cheating during exam would be maximally pressed. And as the final action, the result of national examination would be the students’ weapon to register university.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I think what our government plans is very good. One thing becoming the target of our government is making education more qualified than before. But, is it a quarantee that the result of national examination is valid?

Let’s see the reality in our surrounding. Though national examination question and key answer sheets guarding in this year is done very tightly, the facts proved that the questions and key answer sheets can be on the students’ hand. Wow, who is behind this incident? Ehm...nobody knows right?

Based on some mass media, it’s recorded that national examination cheating happened in many places in our country with different cases. First, it’s gotten the data that some students came to a school early in the morning, and copied the key of five packages placed some hidden places. Wow, my question is where they placed the packages in a tight supervising during a test? Is there anybody who knows this?  O.K, let me show you something.

See, I’m clean right? It’s seems that I’m a kind student and ready for having a fair test. But wait, ........look!.....what can you find inside my shirt, my skirt or my socks. Ehm....surprising right?

Besides, there were also patterns of students raised money collectively to be given to certain elements, which gave key answers to the students via mobile phone.

In another place, it was found by a supervisor, some students copied the answer key at the praying place at their school, early in the morning before the test began. And then, it’s also gotten a data that a school found a key to the answer which was not directly secured to police headquarters before being distributed to schools. It gave an opportunity for the school to commit fraud. Supervisors also handed to the students' answer sheets of national exam, in an envelope that was not glued.
Ladies and gentlemen, those are examples of cheating happening in this country. And there are still many places with such an incident that can’t be mentioned one by one here.
With regarding to the terrifying reality, now you can anwer my previous question. Do you agree with our governement’s program, namely, eliminating SNMPTN?

I’m sure you you will say, “ No,I don’t ”

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I think you agree if SNMPTN is still very important when the condition of our country is still like this. And eliminating SNMPTN can’t be done yet unless national examination can be really done well without any fraud or cheating there. So, the quality of students who will register univereuty is not doubt anymore.

Ladies and gentlemen,

To close this speech, let me underline my speech that SNMPTN is still needed at this time, Hold it on.
