Good.....
It is a great privilege for me to be with you today and
to address you on this speech competition. In this sunny day, allow me to
deliver a speech entitled “the importance of educating our generation at this
globalization era by Heart- Habibie”
Ladies and gentlemen,
Education is essentially an effort to
make human civilized. Education is not just schooling, or privatizing person as
the educated one, but forming civilized one. Well, the last word looks so
simple to say, but it’s hard to apply or find in the middle of generations in
this country. To make our generations civilized, our government still can’t do a lot of things. Character building
applied in educational curriculum is still useless. Even at the present time,
the impact of the multidimensional crisis has shown early signs of the
emergence of a crisis of confidence (self-confidence) and self-respect
(self-esteem) as a nation character. These really afflicts the generations of our country
