CHEATING

Good morning,

The honorable judges and the distinguished audiences

In this great occasion, allow me to present a speech with a subject “cheating during the test”

Ladies and gentlemen,

Cheating is an act of lying, deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others, Cheating implies the breaking of rules.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Cheating can take place anywhere, including cheating during a test at school. Based on the fact, there are still many students who like cheating. Cheating is becoming more and more of a problematic issue in education in many classrooms around the world. Every single day we can see cheating, a lot, in every single class. The cheaters have various tricks of cheating, like asking to see someone's homework, writing things on their hands or bring in little cheat cards to hold in their lap. Recently, cheating is done through cell phones and text messages and they can exchange the questions or answers with the other cheaters. These have become an additional culprit for cheating on tests and it is uncertain how future technology will continue to affect the cheating situation. In this case, cheating has become the final decision done by students with some probable reasons. Firstly, they may have no enough preparation before test. Secondly, cheating probably has become their daily habit during the test. The main thing for them is that they can succeed on the test and as a result, they feel that it is a need to cover up for whatever weaknesses they may have. 

Ladies and gentlemen,

Do you think what they do is correct? No, right? 
Will we become a copycat like them? No, right?
Well, it’s true that by cheating, they can reach a good mark since they don’t need to spend much time or energy to read and then memorize the materials on pieces of notes on their books. Yet, those can only be seen or felt at the beginning. They don’t think the bad effects in their future, for the long terms ahead. 

Ladies and gentlemen,

What they have done actually only causes bad things that harm themselves. Firstly, cheating makes the students lazy. If once, the students get a good mark because of cheating, they will do it again and again. So, it makes them lazy to study and finally will depend on others. Secondly, cheating makes students less confident. Although the students have prepared themselves for the test, they finally will cheat because they are not sure with their own answers. Finally, cheating harms the honest ones. The students who like cheating during a test will probably get better marks than those who are honest in the test. It can be concluded that cheating is a bad thing to do because it can make student lazy, less confident and harm the honest students

Ladies and gentlemen,

With regarding to the bad impacts of cheating, let’s use our thought to choose the right thing to do rather than cheating. I think, we had better study although we have to think harder to read, understand or even memorize the materials that our teachers have given us. We don’t need to think how hard our job is. I think, studying is the first step to make us understand a real life. At first, we feel hard to do it, but finally we will obtain the greater results like being qualified students with much knowledge, broad views, smart thought, and the most important thing that we will be self confident, independent and responsible persons because we don’t disturb or harm the others around us.  

Ladies and gentlemen,

We all know that one’s ability is different from the others’. God has blessed the person with certain abilities and weaknesses. Don’t take cheating as one of weaknesses. Cheating is only a bad thing that appears because of our lazy behavior. As good students, let’s avoid and stop the bad culture. Let say “No cheating, no crying”.
