TEACHERS' MERIT

 Assalamu’alaikum wr. wb.
The honorable judges and audiences.
In this good opportunity, I would like to present speech with a subject           “Teachers’ merit”.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Based on the preamble of 1945 constitution, it is stated that one of our country’s purposes is to make our people’s life clever.  Who can bring it into reality?
The answer is only one. “Teachers”

Ladies and gentlemen,
Teachers are persons who play the main role in our life. They are very meaningful for us. Because of them, the success can be held on our hand. They can bear new young generations, like students who have high intelligences and good creativeness. Without teachers, what will they be? Without their help, they will not be advantageous persons. As a proverb says, “Vehicles will not move without fuel”.  Students need a guide of teachers to run their life. Without them, they will be blind persons who do not know where to go.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Teachers have changed blind knowledge-persons into rich knowledge-ones. They have succeeded to create many kinds of professions in the world, like doctors, pilots, engineers, designers, and the others. Discipline, patience, responsibility, and leadership soul that they have are formed because of teacher’s merits.

Ladies and gentlemen,
“Hero without merit’s symbol,” That’s the proverb we often hear.  Teachers have done everything for us, but what we have done for them?

Ladies and gentlemen,
We have felt the results of their merits. We can feel the development or progress of era regarded from various aspects, like economics, politics, social, culture and science.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Teachers have created hundreds or even thousands of accountants, managers, economist in the world. They get knowledge or science how to manage production, distribution, and consumption of goods, even control the condition of country relating to material prosperity well. They become very useful for their own life, society and country.

Ladies and gentlemen
Besides transferring their knowledge of a material or subject, teachers also teach and show how we get along with our society.  They help us how we should be in our surrounding, like the way of speaking, behaving, and the other things to the others, of course based on the listeners we face. With an old man, we must be slow in speaking as the example. Because of the teachers’ merit, we can be what we should be, like appreciating and respecting the older people. Teachers also teach and transfer their knowledge about the cultures and languages used in other countries. As the result of this, we can communicate with other people in the world as well as what we do in our own country. We will be able to communicate with them well, and make us feel comfortable to live in the world.
Those all happen because of them, ladies and gentlemen, ”teachers”. How great their merits are. How great and honorable the teachers’ works are. Let’s do something useful for our teachers to express our “gratitude” to them for everything they have done for us. As a student, one thing we can do at this time is respecting, appreciating, and loving them. How to realize such feelings? Just simple, “listen, and then practice what they tell us to do,” like understanding and analyzing materials, doing assignments or homework, and the most important thing is studying harder and harder anytime without waiting announcement when there will be a quiz or test. Later on, when we grow up into adults or when we reach our dreams, never forget our teachers' merit who have given a bright light for our future.
That’s all my speech. Thanks for your attention.
Wassalamu’alaikum wr. wb.
